After just a couple weeks of being aggregated on the Ubuntu Weblogs website, I've now been approved by the Americas Regional Board and am an Official Ubuntu Member! There are currently 550+ of us we get some pretty neat benefits, including the ability to vote on Community Council nominations, an @ubuntu.com email alias and a membership to LWN.net.

If you want to become an Ubuntu Member, you'll need to create an application on the Ubuntu Wiki under your own name (see mine) and sign up for the next meeting under a regional council, the Kubuntu council or the Edubuntu council. Then the rest is up to you!

So goodbye Ubuntu Weblogs and hello Planet Ubuntu!
