Humble Indie Bundle -- Added New Game!

The Humble Indie Bundle, which I spoke about previously, has added a new game to their roster called Samorost 2 by Amanita Design!

Samorost 2

Interestingly enough, the is flash and runs locally in your favourite browser as opposed to being based on OpenGL like the other games. So make sure you have the Adobe Flash plugin:

sudo aptitude install flashplugin-installer

If you already purchased the bundle, you will receive an email giving you a link to the new game, for free. If you haven't purchased the bundle -which, if you want to see more games on Linux, or donate to charity, you should - then you'll have a sixth game to purchase and play!

Remember, pay/donate any amount you choose to play these games! It goes to a good cause.

Lastly, I said the download links to these games will be around for a while, but Wolfire Games, the ones hosting the files, say that they don't know how long they'll host them, so make sure you make backups!

They added Samorost after I made my order/donation. Now I feel as though I've low-balled it a little.

FYI, from the email I got with the download link yesterday...

"Please save this email so that you can download the games again whenever you'd like in the future. Feel free to make local backups though, to save bandwidth."

Sorta sounds like they plan to keep it there for a while. Of course, I'm making backups anyhow.

The guys at Wolfire seem to be feeding a trend of Indies supporting Linux and just working together in general. I hope it work out well for these developers and I hope it catches on.

4 of them are no longer going to be proprietary due to the massive success of this offer!
So sucks to be a free software snob.
